Adani Green Energy surpasses 10 GW of renewable energy installations

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has exceeded the 10,000 MW in its operational portfolio, providing reliable, cost-effective, and environmentally friendly power to the national electricity grid.  AGEL’s operational assets comprise solar power of 7,393 MW, wind power of 1,401 MW, and hybrid wind-solar capacity of 2,140 MW. Out of these total deployments, 2,848 MW of capacity was brought online in the Indian financial year 2023-24.

AGEL’s operational portfolio of 10,934 MW will provide energy for over 5.8 million households and prevent approximately 21 million tonnes of carbon emissions each year. The company has further plans of installing a total of 45 GW renewable energy by 2030 and is already implementing a large 30 GW renewable energy park in Khavda, in the state of Gujarat in order to achieve this goal.

AGEL develops, owns, and operates large utility scale grid-connected solar, wind and hybrid renewable power plants, and currently has a total portfolio of 21.8 GW, divided between under implementation and operational projects. Its 10.9 GW operational renewable energy portfolio is spread across 12 states.

Recently, in March 2024, AGEL commissioned a 180 MW solar power plant at Devikot in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan.
