India Energy Storage Alliance and BCKIC sign MoU to collaborate on critical minerals for energy, energy transition, and green hydrogen

India Energy Storage Alliance (IESA) and Bhubaneswar City Knowledge Innovation Cluster (BCKIC) Foundation, Bhubaneswar, Odisha, have signed a MoU to enhance knowledge sharing and foster innovation in the fields of cleantech, critical minerals, and energy sector advancements across India. The primary aim of this collaboration is to establish a collaborative science and technology environment. This involves enhancing engagement among industry experts from both member organisations, as well as with external entities like research institutions, universities, philanthropic groups, and public. Additionally, the partnership seeks to strengthen regional impact and enhance both national and global competitiveness. This will be achieved by fostering the advancement of new cleantech research facilities and infrastructure.

The partners have also committed to collaborating on critical minerals for energy, energy transition, and green hydrogen sectors to aid startups and innovations in this field in the future. Additionally, both parties will collaborate with international counterparts in the USA, the UK, and the EU to lead technology partnerships and facilitate the licensing and transfer of new energy solutions. Areas of collaboration between IESA and BCKIC encompass the establishment of a collaborative science and technology environment, enhancing regional impact, and fostering both national and global competitiveness. Within this partnership, the two entities will collaborate on identifying areas for joint research, particularly in energy and related fields, emphasising the development and deployment of commercial products and technologies. IESA and BCKIC will form strategic alliances with cleantech and energy storage enterprises, research bodies, and educational establishments globally. They will also advocate for and offer training in science-centered entrepreneurship and facilitate short-term exchange initiatives between industry and academia.
