Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL), a step-down subsidiary of Tata Power Limited has commissioned solar-and-battery energy storage systems (BESS) project. The project is located at Rajnandgaon in Chhattisgarh. The project consists of a 100 MW photovoltaic facility combined with a 120 MWh utility-scale BESS.
TPSSL secured the project from the Solar Energy Corporation of India in December 2021. The project has been developed at an investment of Rs 9.45 billion, on the basis of engineering, procurement, and construction model. The plant consists of 239,685 bifacial monocrystalline modules. Tata AutoComp Systems delivered the BESS for the project. Anticipated to produce 243.53 million energy units each year, the project is set to decrease carbon emissions by 4.87 million tonnes over a span of 25 years.

In February 2024, Tata Power Solar Systems declared that it enabled customer financing exceeding Rs 35 billion for solar projects over the last 4.5 years.
