Jakson Green inks PPA with RUVNL for 100 MW project in Rajasthan

Jakson Green has entered into its first 25 year power purchase agreement with Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (RUVNL) for a 100 MW solar photovoltaic (PV) plant in Rajasthan. In April 2023, RUVNL issued request for proposals to establish solar PV projects connected to the state transmission utility throughout Rajasthan.

Jakson Green successfully secured the 100 MW project at a tariff of Rs 2.61 per kWh through a competitive bidding process. The project is scheduled to be operational within 18 months from the power purchase agreement signing date. Apart from contributing to India’s clean energy objectives, this initiative will play a crucial role in meeting the escalating power needs of the state. The project is anticipated to produce green power for more than 80,000 households each year while averting 187,578 metric tonnes of carbon emissions annually.

Recently, in February 2024, Credit Fair collaborated with Jakson Solar to provide cost-effective financing solutions for solar equipment installation, catering to individuals, micro, small and medium enterprises, trust institutions, and housing societies aiming to adopt clean energy systems.

In January 2024, Jakson Green and Rail Vikas Nigam Limited formed joint venture to investigate potential opportunities in solar power projects both within India and internationally.

In October 2023, a MoU was signed between Jakson Green and Deendayal Port Authority for developing a green ammonia facility at Kandla Port, Gujarat.
