Cleantech Solar has announced the completion of open access solar photovoltaic projects with a combined capacity of 24 MWp. The projects are situated in its solar park, located in the Yavatmal district of Maharashtra. Energy generated from these initiatives is being acquired by prominent corporations for their captive consumption, addressing the energy requirements of their manufacturing activities within the state. These ventures serve clients in various industries, including automotive, pharmaceutical, cement, industrial equipment, and chemicals.
These projects have been established utilising single-axis trackers to enhance both power generation and overall efficiency. The enduring collaborations between Cleantech Solar and prominent commercial and industrial clients are anticipated to produce over 911 GWh of green energy throughout the project’s lifespan, resulting in a decrease of about 833 kilotonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.
The inclusion of these projects expands the overall portfolio in Maharashtra to more than 300 MWp, encompassing operational and under-construction stages, including solar, wind, and hybrid power initiatives.
Recently, in February 2024, Cleantech Solar finalised a substantial long-term senior secured loan of Rs 6.25 billion from Tata Capital Limited.
In January 2024, Cleantech Solar entered into a captive power purchase agreement with First Solar for a period of 15 years.
