Adani Green Energy Limited commissions 551 MW solar project

Adani Green Energy Limited (AGEL) has successfully commissioned 551 MW of solar capacity delivering electricity to the national grid. The project is located in Khavda, Gujarat. AGEL reached this achievement in one year from the initiation of work at the Khavda Renewable Energy Park.

AGEL intends to build 30 GW of renewable energy capacity at the park, with the anticipated operationalisation of the planned capacity within the next five years. Once accomplished, the park will have the world’s largest renewable energy installation. This park has the capacity to provide electricity to approximately 16.1 million homes annually. The area possesses some of the country’s most abundant wind and solar resources, rendering it exceptionally suitable for large-scale renewable energy development.

In January 2024, AGEL successfully concluded the financing for the $750 million Holdco notes due on September 9, 2024.

In December 2023, AGEL formed four subsidiary companies in a hierarchical structure, namely Adani Renewable Energy Sixty, Adani Renewable Energy Sixty Two, Adani Renewable Energy Sixty Three, and Adani Renewable Energy Sixty Four.
