Tata Power drives Rs 35 billion in customer financing to promote solar adoption in India

In a recent press release, Tata Power Solar Systems declared that it has enabled customer financing exceeding Rs 35 billion for solar projects over the last 4.5 years. TPSSL accomplished this by forming partnerships with over 20 dynamic financing collaborators, encompassing public sector undertakings, private banks, and non-banking financial companies. Among the primary lending partners in this comprehensive network are State Bank of India, Small Industries Development Bank of India, Union Bank of India, HDFC, Bank of Baroda, Tata Capital, Greenlance Energy, Ecofy, Credit Fair, and Paytm.

Recently, in January 2024, Tata Power Renewable Energy Limited, in collaboration with Chengmari Tea Estate has successfully completed the commissioning of a 1,040 kW bifacial solar system project.

In December 2023, TPREL signed a power delivery agreement with Force Motors Limited and Jaya Hind Industries to deliver clean power for 25 years as a part of group captive scheme.

In November 2023, TPREL secured a letter of award from SJVN Limited to set up a 200 MW firm and dispatchable clean power with an additional greenshoe option.
