RenewSys introduces Conserv E-NT encapsulant

RenewSys has launched the first polyolefin elastomer encapsulant in India, tailored specifically for n-type TOPCon PV cells. The encapsulant, Conserv E-NT, is equipped with a free radical scavenger that efficiently safeguards TOPCon cells, preventing permanent damage caused by free radicals generated during the regular operation of PV modules. Common factors contributing to these attacks involve temperature fluctuations, elevated heat, water infiltration and chemicals originating from other module components.

Conserv E-NT features an expanded lamination processing range, enabling a broader spectrum of acceptable operating conditions throughout the lamination process. This directly results in enhanced throughput and increased productivity within module manufacturing facilities, reducing module rejections stemming from lamination problems. The encapsulant is suitable for both single-side and dual-side heat laminators. When employed in glass-glass TOPCon PV modules, it ensures the modules are free from bubbles. The encapsulant also successfully prevents string shifting, a persistent challenge in module production. These aspects contribute to minimising rejection rates of modules, ensuring a streamlined and efficient manufacturing process.

Conserv E-NT is suitable for both n-type TOPCon solar modules with glass-backsheet and glass-glass configurations. This encapsulant also protects TOPCon modules in the field from wear and tear during regular operations, instilling confidence in end-customers, with residences and businesses adopting solar power.
