Tata Power Solar Systems Limited (TPSSL) has announced the signing of a contract with NTPC Limited to deliver 152 MWp solar PV modules. The modules will be delivered for NTPC’s Nokh solar project in Rajasthan. The project’s value amounts to around Rs 4.18 billion. NTPC is in the process of constructing Nokh solar park (three units of 245 MW each) in Pokaran, Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, with a total capacity of 735 MW. The project will employ bi-facial mono-PERC modules falling under the domestic content requirement (DCR) category.
In September 2023, TPSSL bagged $425 million from the US international Development Finance Corporation for its forthcoming solar module and cell manufacturing plant located in Tirunelveli district, Tamil Nadu, India.
In the same month, TPSSL and Small Industries Development Bank of India signed MoU to provide easy financing solutions to micro, small and medium enterprises for solar adoption.
