Punjab State Power Corporation Limited (PSPCL) has issued a request for proposals to develop 100 MW solar power projects and associated transmission system. The project will be located in Bathinda, Punjab.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to furnish Rs 100 million as an earnest money deposit. The winning bidder is required to submit performance bank guarantee equaling Rs 250 million. PSPCL will offer the required project land on a lease basis at a rate of Re 1 per acre annually. The bid submission deadline is January 18, 2024.
In order to reduce technological uncertainty and guarantee timely power generation, the tender places a strong emphasis on the adoption of well-established technology. The specified annual capacity utilisation factor for the projects must not fall below 19 per cent. Furthermore, PSPCL has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers. The modules should carry a warranty for output peak watt capacity, ensuring a minimum of 90 per cent at the conclusion of 10 years and 80 per cent at the conclusion of 25 years.
In August 2023, PSPCL issued tender to procure power from grid-connected, floating solar or ground-mounted solar projects of a cumulative capacity of 500 MW in Punjab.
In April 2023, PSPCL issued tender to select bidders for 1 GW of grid-connected solar projects.
