REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited (RECPDCL) has issued a request for proposals to develop 250 MW inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected solar projects with a greenshoe option of additional 250 MW. To be set up anywhere in India, the projects will be set up as a part of flexibility in generating and scheduling of thermal-hydro power stations through bundling with the renewable energy and storage programme.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to furnish Rs 900,000 per MW as an earnest money deposit. With seven days before signing the power purchase agreement, the winning bidders are required to submit Rs 1.75 million per MW as a performance bank guarantee. The bid submission deadline is December 29, 2023.
At the ISTS interconnection, the minimum voltage requirement is 220 kV. The developer will be accountable for set up related to land and connectivity. If a bidder plans to initiate multiple projects, each project must be physically separate, featuring distinct boundary walls, injection points, and metering arrangements. Furthermore, RECPDCL has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
In November 2023, RECPDCL invited bids for selection of developers to develop 290 MW grid-connected solar project with an additional 290 MW greenshoe option anywhere in India.
