Vadodara Municipal Corporation (VMC) has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for commissioning of cumulative 1.5 MW solar projects. The projects will be located in Gujarat. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 133.4 million. According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to furnish Rs 2.7 million as an earnest money deposit. The developer is required to look after operations and maintenance for a period of 25 years.
To be eligible, the bidder must have experience in commissioning, operations and maintenance of 10 MW or above solar projects. Of this, one project must be 1.5 MW or above. Furthermore, VMC has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
In September 2023, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issued RfPs to supply crystalline bifacial solar modules of cumulative capacity 1,584.6 MW, having wattage output of at least 540 Wp each for 1,255 MW of projects to be set up at the Khavda solar park in Kutch district, Gujarat.
In August 2023, NLC India Limited issued RfPs to seek a consultant for setting up a 600 MW solar power project. The project would be located in the solar park of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited at Khavda, Gujarat under Phase II.
