NTPC Renewable Energy Limited has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for the supply and installation of up to 370 wind turbine generators (WTGs) for 1,000 MW grid-connected wind power project in Gujarat. The bids have been floated for three blocks within the tender. Block I comprises 200 WTGs with a minimum capacity of 540 MW, Block II entails 113 WTGs with a minimum capacity of 305.1 MW, and Block III involves 57 WTGs with a minimum capacity of 153.9 MW.
The scope of work under the project includes design, engineering, manufacturing, supply, erection, installation, testing, and commissioning of WTGs listed in Revised List of Models and Manufacturers. These turbines should have a minimum rating of 2.7 MW and are constrained to a maximum WTG rotor diameter of 156 meters. Furthermore, the winning bidder is required to look after operations and maintenance for a period pf 10 years. The bid submission deadline is December 4, 2023.
In November 2023, NTPC REL issued RfPs for engineering, procurement, and construction of 630 MW grid-connected ground-mounted solar projects at Barethi, Madhya Pradesh. In the same month, NTPC REL issued RfPs for EPC of 650 MW grid-connected solar projects at Bikaner, Rajasthan.
