SJVN Limited has issued a request for proposals for developers to develop 1,500 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar projects. The projects will be developed across India.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit Rs 1.16 million per MW as an earnest money deposit. The developer is required to furnish a performance bank guarantee equaling Rs 2.9 million per MW. Furthermore, the developer must be responsible for obtaining the required land for the project. The bid submission deadline is December 15, 2023.
Additionally, the bidders are required to offer the project capacity ranging from 50 MW to 750 MW. Meanwhile, the bidders must offer a minimum capacity of 30 MW for projects situated in north-eastern states and special category regions. Furthermore, SJVN Limited has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
In September 2023, SJVN Limited issued tender for developers to set up inter-state transmission system connected 1,500 MW wind-solar hybrid projects in India.
In the same month, PFC Limited signed a MoU with SJVN Limited to offer financial assistance for a number of projects, encompassing a 660 MW thermal generation project and three renewable energy projects with a combined capacity of 12,178 MW, including solar, hydro, and pumped storage.
