NHPC Limited has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for 1,500 MW inter-state transmission system connected wind-solar hybrid projects, with or without storage. The projects can be set up anywhere in India.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes setting up the projects, along with the relevant transmission network up to the delivery point, spanning various capacities in wind, solar PV, and energy storage systems. The bidders are required to submit Rs 35 million as earnest money deposit. The bid submission deadline is December 12, 2023.
The bidder is required to offer a minimum capacity of 50 MW, followed by multiples of 10 MW under open category, with a combined capacity of at most 750 MW. Furthermore, NHPC Limited will enter into a power purchase agreement with the selected bidder for a period of 25 years.
Recently, in October 2023, NHPC Limited issued RfPs for the selection of project developers to deliver firm and dispatchable power from 1,500 MW inter-state transmission system connected renewable projects, including energy storage systems anywhere in India.
In the same month, NHPC issued a RfPs for an engineering, procurement, and construction order to establish a 40 MW solar project in the Ganjam district of Odisha.
