Waaree Energies bags 200 MW module supply order from ENGIE India

Waaree Energies Limited has secured a contract from ENGIE India for the supply of 200 MW of solar modules for a solar power project. The project will be located in Sayla village within the Surendra Nagar district of Gujarat.

ENGIE India is working with Gujarat Urja Vikas Nigam Limited on Sayla village project under a solar power purchase agreement for a period of 25 years. Furthermore, the contract for supply between Waaree Energires and ENGIE India has been anticipated to start from November 2023, with a projected completion by February 2024. Waaree will supply 200 MW of AHNAY 545 Wp bifacial modules for the Sayla village project. Additionally, the project has been expected to produce approximately 0.34 billion units of electricity annually.

In October 2022, Steinbeis signed a MoU with Waaree Energies Limited and DSE Consortium Germany to collaborate on the establishment of an electrolyser assembly line and polysilicon production unit in India.
