Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL) has issued three requests for proposals (RfPs) for the installation and commissioning of 185 grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 494.82 MW under component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme for feeder level solarisation. The projects will be located in Churu district circle in Jodhpur. The projects will be developed on the basis of the renewable energy service company model. The capacity of 494.82 MW includes tender for 122.62 MW, 184.78 MW, and 187.42 MW.
The scope of work under the project includes installing the relevant 33/11 kV line linking the solar power projects to the relevant 33/11 kV substation, including bay, breakers and metering system. According to the tender guidelines, the bidder is required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW for all the three tenders. The developer must also look after the operations and maintenance of the projects for a period of 25 years. The developer will also be required to submit a performance bank guarantee of Rs 500,000 per MW of the allocated capacity. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 35 million per MW.
Within seven days of the filing of the performance bank guarantee, a power purchase agreement for a duration of 25 years at the levelised rate established by the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission will be executed between the winning bidder and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited. The projects must be completed within nine months of the PPA being signed. Furthermore, JDVVNL has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
Recently, in October 2023, JDVVNL issued RfPs for the installation and commissioning of 562 grid-connected solar power projects with a cumulative capacity of 1,515 MW under component C of PM-KUSUM scheme.
