SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL) has issued a tender for setting up grid-connected solar projects with a cumulative capacity of 18 MW at four locations. These locations include 10 MW capacity in Talwara, Punjab, spanning an area of 43.62 acres, 4 MW in Pong Dam, Himachal Pradesh, encompassing an area of 18.72 acres and 2 MW each, at tunnel T1-T2 Pong dam and Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh, respectively.
According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes designing, engineering, erection, testing, commissioning, including operations and maintenance for a period of three years. The bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit equaling Rs 23 million. The bid submission deadline is November 7, 2023.
Furthermore, to be eligible, the bidders must be experienced in design, supply, erection, commissioning, and setting up grid-connected solar photovoltaic project of cumulative 10 MW capacity and above. Of this, one project should be of capacity 4 MW or above. Additionally, the bidders should have implemented electrical substation of minimum voltage level of 33 kV or more.
Recently, in October 2023, SGEL announced that it bagged a letter of award for 100 MW solar power project from Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited at a tariff of Rs 2.62 per unit.
In August 2023, SGEL floated bids for 200 MW grid-connected solar power project at Khavda Solar Park, Gujarat.
