Jakson Green to set up Rs 24 billion green ammonia facility for Deendayal Port Authority

On the sidelines of Global Maritime India Summit, 2023, an MoU has been signed between Jakson Green and Deendayal Port Authority for developing a green ammonia facility. The facility will be situated at Kandla Port, Gujarat. The project has been valued at around Rs 24 billion.

The facility is set to be constructed in a phased manner, with a planned annual production capacity of 133,000 tons of green ammonia. Additionally, this initiative is expected to generate over 5,000 jobs which will in turn promote significant economic growth in the region. Furthermore, the Deendayal Port Authority will assist Jakson Green in obtaining the required registrations, approvals, clearances, and will also offer various incentives.

In August 2023, Jakson Group partnered with the All India Institute of Medical Sciences, Delhi for a 9-kW solar rooftop plant.

In April 2023, Jakson Green announced that it is building a green hydrogen fueling station in Badarpur, New Delhi for a major Indian power firm to generate, compress, store, and dispense green hydrogen using green energy produced on-site by a hybrid renewable energy plant.
