EKI Energy Services has received a letter of award (LOA) from SJVN Limited to register, issue, purchase, and trade the international renewable energy certificates (I-RECs) for 1.5 GW Nathpa Jhakri hydroelectric station. The project is situated in Himachal Pradesh. SJVN anticipates a yearly revenue of Rs 100 million from I-RECs.
The station has been registered under I-REC registry process for January 1, 2023 to December 31, 2027. This I-REC acquisition will enable EKI Energy Services to declare the utilisation of one MWh of renewable energy, resulting in a reduction in their carbon emissions.
In March 2023, WOCE Solutions Limited collaborated with EKI Energy Services to facilitate individuals, businesses and organisations with a one-stop solution for all aspects of carbon inventory, management and neutrality/net-zero solutions.
In October 2022, EKI Energy Services partnered with First Source Energy India and its promoter group to launch a climate edtech and climate finance marketplace.
