THDC floats bids for 11 MW floating project in Uttar Pradesh

THDC India Limited has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for engineering, procurement, and construction of a 11 MW AC floating solar project. The project is located at the Khurja super thermal plant site at Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to furnish Rs 6.35 million as an earnest money deposit. The developer is required to look after operations and maintenance for a period of three years. Furthermore, the winning bidder must submit a performance bank guarantee equaling 10 per cent of the project cost. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 635.6 million. The bid submission deadline is November 20, 2023.

To be eligible, suppliers must meet the criteria of class-I local supplier, with at least 50 per cent of local content. Additionally, the bidder must have completed at least 2 MW of floating solar project at a single location during the past seven years. Furthermore, THDC has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

In September 2023, THDC India Limited issued RfP to seek project management and consultancy services for setting up an 11 MW floating solar project at Bulanshahr in Uttar Pradesh.

In July 2023, THDC India Limited solicited proposals to appoint consultants for the purchase of land to create 2,000 MW ultra-mega renewable energy parks in Rajasthan under the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Solar Park Programme.
