CMPDI issues tender for 5 MW solar project in Jharkhand

Central Mine Planning and Design Institute (CMPDI), a subsidiary of Coal India, has issued a request for proposals (RfPs) for setting up 5 MW grid-connected solar power projects for Central Coalfields Limited. The project will be located at Barkasayal area, Ramgarh in Jharkhand.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes designing, supplying, erecting, commissioning, and testing of the solar power project. The bidders are required to submit earnest money deposit of Rs 4.1 million. The developer is required to look after operations and maintenance of the project for a period of five years. Additionally, the work must be commenced either within 30 days of receiving the letter of award and furnishing the performance bank guarantee or within seven days of site handling. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 328.15 million. The bid submission deadline is October 25, 2023. Furthermore, to be eligible, the solar project of at least 1 MW capacity must be operating for a minimum of six months before the technical bid opening date.

In August 2023, CMPDI floated bids for development of a grid-connected solar power project of 8.5 MW for Central Coalfields Limited in Bokaro, Jharkhand. In July 2023, CMPDI was seeking bids to install 1.03 MW of solar power projects for the Central Coalfields in Jharkhand.
