KP Energy wins BoS order for 464 MW wind projects in Gujarat

KP Energy has bagged inter-state transmission system (ISTS) connected balance of System (BoS) order for 464.1 MW wing projects from NTPC Renewable Energy Limited. The projects will be located in Gujarat.

According to the tender guidelines, the company will offer number of services, alongside engineering, procurement, and construction. A variety of services related to unloading, storage, on-site handling, installation, insurance, civil and related construction, grid integration, testing, and commissioning are included in the services, in addition to the acquisition and transfer of land for the project. Furthermore, the company will look after operations and maintenance of the project for a period of three years. The project has been scheduled to be commissioned within 21 months from the date of no-objection certificate.

Additionally, the company will be in charge of demonstrating the guaranteed performance metrics beginning with the 33 kV internal evacuation lines from the unit substation, pooling substation, central monitoring and control station, wind monitoring masts, and external EHV transmission line until the ISTS substation.

In September 2022, Aditya Birla Group awarded KP Energy, a Rs 2.22 billion contract to develop wind energy projects. The project would be established at the Bhungar and Fulsar site in Mahuva, Bhavnagar, Gujarat in accordance with the 2018 Gujarat Hybrid Power Policy.
