MSEB Agro Solar Power has issued request for proposals for nine tenders to purchase power from 1.92 GW solar projects as a part of the Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana (MSKVY). The projects will be situated in Maharashtra. The bids have been floated across various districts of Maharashtra for following capacities: 197.78 MW – Akola, 289.38 MW – Jalgaon, 116.65 MW – Jalna, 230.49 MW – Pune, 230.72 MW – Ahmednagar, 147 MW – Buldhana, 289.76 MW – Washim, and 265.05 MW – Nanded.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to furnish an earnest money deposit equaling Rs 100,000 per MW. The developers are required to submit a performance bank guarantee equal to Rs 500,000 per MW of the quoted capacity. Furthermore, within 15 days of receiving the letter of award, the winning bidder and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Limited must sign the power purchase agreement. Additionally, the project should be completed within 12 months of the PPA being signed. The bid submission deadline is November 20, 2023.
The winning bidder will be further responsible for evacuation of energy up to the delivery point and energy accounting infrastructure. Furthermore, MSEB has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.
Recently, in September 2023, MSEB Agro Solar Power issued five requests for proposals with aggregated capacity of 977.72 MW under MSKVY, for capacities 158.75 MW, 221.93 MW, 199.94 MW, 186.044 MW, 211.06 MW in the Kolhapur, Chhattrapati Sambhajinagar, Satara, Sangli, Yavatmal districts, respectively.
