IOCL invites consultants for clean energy projects

Indian Oil Corporation Limited (IOCL) has issued a request for proposals to appoint a technical consultant to seek project management and consultancy services (PMCS) for developing renewable energy projects. The projects will be located at various locations across India.

According to the tender guidelines, the contract will remain in effect for three years from the letter of award issuance. The bid submission deadline is September 29, 2023. To be eligible, the bidders must be experienced in offering PMCS with a wind installed capacity of 50 MW or above, together with solar installed capacity of 50 MW or above in the last seven years. Those bidders who have experience in wind-solar hybrid projects will also be permitted to take part in bidding process.

In August 2023, IOCL ventured into producing green hydrogen with a plant with an annual capacity of 10 kilo tonnes per annum. The facility had been planned for construction in Panipat.

In the same month, Larsen & Toubro Limited in collaboration with ReNew and IOCL announced to invest Rs 320 billion in green hydrogen projects, including electrolysers, green hydrogen plants, and floating green ammonia projects.
