Result for TUSCO Limited’s auction to appoint a consultant for environmental and social impact assessment to develop 600 MW solar projects have been announced. Voyants Solutions has emerged as a winner in the auction at a quoted price of Rs 2.53 million. The tender was issued in February 2023. The solar park which is distributed across eight villages of Jhansi district in Uttar Pradesh will require a projected area of 3,000 acres.
The project will be set up on the basis of build, own, and operate model. According to the tender guidelines, the consultant will report to TUSCO for the implementation of the scope of services and supply the output as a part of its direct monitoring. Furthermore, in case of any delay in the work completion beyond the scheduled period, the consultant shall pay the owner liquidated damages at the rate of 0.5 per cent per week, subject to upto 10 per cent of the total contract value. Furthermore, TUSCO Limited will receive assistance from the International Finance Corporation (IFC) in setting up the 600 MW solar project. The company had signed an advisory mandate with IFC in 2022.
In March 2023, TUSCO Limited invited bids from consultants to prepare a feasibility-cum-detailed project report for the development of an 800 MW ultra-mega solar power park in Chitrakoot, Uttar Pradesh.
In January 2023, TUSCO Limited notified bids for a consultant for floating solar power projects on various dam reservoirs in Uttar Pradesh.
