PFC Consulting issues tender for 1.25 GW solar projects

PFC Consulting Limited has issued a tender to commission inter-state transmission system connected 1.25 GW solar power projects as a part of flexibility in generating and scheduling of thermal-hydro power stations through bundling with the renewable energy and storage programme.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to furnish Rs 464,000 per MW of quoted capacity as an earnest money deposit. The winning bidders are required to submit Rs 2.32 million per MW and Rs 100,000 per MW as a performance bank guarantee and success charge, respectively. The developer has to sign a power purchase agreement for a duration of 25 years with NTPC Limited. The bid submission deadline is October 12, 2023.

The bidders must offer a minimum and a maximum bid of 300 MW and 1,250 MW, respectively. Furthermore, the contracted capacity quoted should be in multiples of 50 MW. Also, PFC consulting has mandated the use of indigenously manufactured solar modules listed in the Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.

Recently, in September 2023, Serentica Renewables bagged Rs 26 billion in financing from Power Finance Corporation Limited (PFC Limited) for its upcoming hybrid clean energy projects in Karnataka.

In August 2023, PFC Limited secured a loan worth 1.85 billion Japanese yen from the Japan Bank for International Cooperation to fund KPC Gas Power Corporation’s 11.5 MW waste-to-energy project at Bidadi, Ramanagara District, Karnataka.
