Odisha Renewable Energy Development Agency (OREDA) has issued a tender for the appointment of vendors for designing, manufacturing, supplying, transporting, installing, and commissioning of off-grid solar photovoltaic pumps with capacities ranging between 1 HP and 7.5 HP as a part of component B of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha Evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme.
The vendor will be responsible for overseeing warranty of complete system, including its repair and maintenance for a period of five years. As a part of the programme, the vendors shall offer a remote monitoring system for all installed solar pumps. Additionally, the vendors are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 1,500,000. The successful bidders are required to furnish a performance guarantee amounting to 10 per cent of the total contract value. The bid submission deadline is October 12, 2023.
It will be mandatory for the vendors to use solar panels manufactured within the country with native solar cells and modules. All other system components, including the controller and motor pump set, must also be produced domestically. The vendor must build a certified service facility in each operating district in order to ensure quick repair of solar pumps. This is in addition to training a local worker and providing necessary spare parts and tools in every district.
In August 2023, the Jharkhand Renewable Energy Development Agency issued a request for proposals for installation and commissioning of 8,000 agricultural solar pumps.
In May 2023, the Uttar Pradesh New and Renewable Energy Development Agency requested bids to build and commission grid-connected solar power systems for 1,000 agricultural pumps under Component C1 of PM-KUSUM.
