GIPCL invites bids for supply of modules for 600 MW solar project

Gujarat Industries Power Company Limited (GIPCL) has issued tender for supply of bifacial solar modules of 750 MW, having wattage output of at least 540 Wp each for a 600 MW solar project. The project will be located at Khavda Renewable Energy Park in the Kutch district of Gujarat.

According to the tender guidelines, bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 100,00 per MW. Within one month of receiving the letter of award (LOA), the developers are required to furnish a performance bank guarantee amounting to 10 per cent of the total contract value. Furthermore, the work order must be completed within 12 months of receiving the LOA. The bid submission deadline is October 25, 2023.

Additionally, under the tender, only bidders who are module manufacturers with a rated capacity of 540 Wp or more and listed in Approved list of Models and Manufacturers (ALMM) will be allowed.

In September 2023, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issued a tender to supply crystalline bifacial solar modules of cumulative capacity 1,584.6 MW, having wattage output of at least 540 Wp each for 1,255 MW of projects at the Khavda solar park.

In August 2023, NLC India Limited issued a tender to purchase solar modules of 70.5 MW capacity for a project set up on the mined-out land in Neyveli (Mine-II area), Tamil Nadu.
