MSEB Agro Solar Power, a subsidiary of MSEB Holding Company, has issued five requests for proposals with aggregated capacity of 977.72 MW, under Mukhyamantri Saur Krushi Vahini Yojana. The tenders have been issued with varying capacities across various districts of the state. The tenders have been issued for capacities 158.75 MW, 221.93 MW, 199.94 MW, 186.044 MW, 211.06 MW in the Kolhapur, Chhattrapati Sambhajinagar, Satara, Sangli, Yavatmal districts, respectively.
According to the tender guidelines, the bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW of the allotted capacity. The developer is required to furnish a performance bank guarantee of Rs 500,000 per MW. A power purchase agreement (PPA) will be executed between the winning bidder and Maharashtra State Electricity Distribution Limited within 15 days of receiving letter of award. The projects must be completed within 12 months of the PPA being signed. Furthermore, the project developer will be responsible for evacuation of power to the delivery point. The last date for bid submission is October 21, 2023.
In April 2023, Maharashtra State Power Generation Company floated bids for installing and commissioning a 62 MW grid-connected solar power project with the associated high-tension overhead transmission line, underground cable, and electrical equipment in Akola, Maharashtra.
In February 2023, Amp Energy India completed a 5 MW solar power plant for BSV. This solar project completed in the fourth quarter of 2022 would be supplying solar power to BSV’s manufacturing facility in Ambernath, Maharashtra from Amp’s open access facility in Osmanabad district, Maharashtra.
