NLC issues tender for BoS package for 600 MW solar projects

NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has issued a request for proposal (RfP) for the balance of system (BoS) package for 600 MW grid-connected solar projects. The projects will be located at Khavda, Gujarat.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes designing, engineering, development, manufacturing, inspection, supply, insurance, transport, storage, erection, installing, testing, and commissioning. It also includes evacuation system to the relevant 33/11 kV line linking the solar power projects to the relevant 33/400 kV substations. Furthermore, the bidders are required to look after operations and maintenance services for a period of three years. The bidders must also submit Rs 43.5 million as an earnest money deposit. The work must be completed within 12 months of receiving letter of award. NLC through its subsidiary, NLC India Green Energy will be responsible for developing the projects. The bid submission deadline is September 29, 2023.

The bidders must have experience in design, supply, erection, and commissioning of solar photovoltaic projects with a capacity of 40 MW or more for at most four projects in order to qualify. In addition, the bidders must have experience in implementing a minimum one substation, including 33 kV or more level of voltage.

Recently, in August 2023, NLC issued RfP to purchase solar modules of 70.5 MW capacity for a project set up on the mined-out land in Neyveli (Mine-II area), Tamil Nadu.

In the same month, NLC issued RfP to seek a consultant for setting up a 600 MW solar power project. The project will be located in the solar park of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited, Phase II, at Khavda, Gujarat.
