NTPC REL issues tender for supply of modules for 1,255 MW solar projects in Gujarat

NTPC Renewable Energy Limited (NTPC REL), a subsidiary of NTPC Limited, has issued a request for proposal (RfP) to supply crystalline bifacial solar modules of cumulative capacity 1,584.6 MW, having wattage output of at least 540 Wp each for 1,255 MW of projects. The projects will be set up at the Khavda solar park in Kutch district, Gujarat. The modules will be delivered as a part of the domestic content requirement category. The project consists of following capacities: 391.5 MW of Block 1 and 397.7 MW each of Block 2, Block 3, and Block 4, respectively.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes production, supply, packing, forwarding and modules transportation to the company’s 4.75 GW renewable energy park in Khavda. The bidders are required to submit a bid security deposit of Rs 200 million for one or two blocks, and Rs 500 million for three or four blocks. To be eligible, bidders must have supplied cells or solar modules with a cumulative capacity of 40 MW or more.

Recently, in August 2023, NTPC REL issued a RfP for setting up inter-state transmission system connected wind power projects for a capacity of 110 MW at Khavda renewable energy park, Gujarat.

In the same month, NTPC REL received a letter of intent for a 550 MW solar project. The project is a part of a 1,250 MW inter-state transmission system connected solar tender awarded by REC Power Development and Consultancy Limited   at a tariff of Rs 2.56 per kWh.
