PCMC issues tender to establish 22 EV charging stations in Maharashtra

Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal Corporation (PCMC) has issued a request for proposal (RfP) to develop 22 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations. The projects will be located at various locations in Maharashtra and will be set up on the basis of build, own, operate model.

According to the notification, the scope of the work under the project includes design, engineering, testing the charging stations and power infrastructure. The bidders are required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 759,000. The developer is required to look after operations and maintenance work for a period of eight years. Additionally, the developer is required to furnish performance bank guarantee of Rs 7.59 million. The project must be commissioned within six months of receiving the work order. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 151.8 million. To be eligible, the bidders must have experience in implementing a minimum of one project, covering at least 18 public EV charging stations. Alternatively, the bidders can have experience of executing a minimum of two or three projects, covering at least 11 EV charging stations or 9 EV charging stations each, respectively.

Recently, in August 2023, West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited issued a tender to select agencies for the supply, installation, operation, and management of 47 EV battery swapping and charging stations in West Bengal.

In the same month, Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited issued a RfP to empanel agencies to develop 310 EV charging stations. The projects will be located in Maharashtra.
