Suzlon bags contract from O2 Power for 201.6 MW wind project in Maharashtra

Suzlon Group has announced that it has acquired a large contract for its 3 MW series of wind turbines. The project has been awarded by Teq Green Power XI Private Limited, a part of O2 Power Private Limited. For the 201.6 MW wind power project, Suzlon will deploy 64 of its largest wind turbine generators, each with a 3.15 MW rated capacity and a hybrid lattice tubular tower.

According to the notification, the scope of work under the project includes supplying wind turbine equipment, erection, commissioning, and executing the project.  The company will also be responsible for operations and maintenance of the project post commissioning. The project will enable O2 Power to produce enough electricity to power around 166,000 homes, reducing carbon emissions by 655,000 tonnes annually. The project is anticipated to commence operations in 2025.

In July 2023, Suzlon Group announced a new order win for the development of a 47.6 MW wind power project for KP Group. The project will be located at Vagra in Bharuch district of Gujarat.

In May 2023, Suzlon Group won an order for its new 3 MW series wind turbines to establish a 300 MW wind power project for Torrent Power Limited. According to the notification, Suzlon will deploy 100 wind turbine generators with 3 MW rated capacity and a hybrid lattice tubular tower.
