The West Bengal State Electricity Distribution Company Limited (WBSEDCL) has issued a tender to select agencies for the supply, installation, operation, and management of 47 electric vehicle (EV) battery swapping and charging stations.
According to the notification, the bidder will be responsible for bearing the cost of the station’s development. The developers are required to commission the charging stations within six months of the work order issuance. The bidders are required to submit Rs 36,500 and Rs 25,000 per location, for one location and for maximum five locations, respectively. Those who bid between five and 25 locations will be required to submit Rs 20,000 per location. While Rs 15,000 per location will be charged for bidders bidding between 25 and 50 locations. Furthermore, the successful bidder must furnish a performance bank guarantee equaling Rs 54,750 per location. The last date for bid submission is September 20, 2023.
Recently, in August 2023, Kolkata Police floated bids for supply and maintenance of 200 four-wheeler EVs. The project is estimated to cost Rs 440 million, including GST.
In the same month, Mahatma Phule Renewable Energy and Infrastructure Technology Limited issued request for proposals to empanel agencies to develop 310 EV charging stations. The projects would be located in Maharashtra.
