NLC India Limited (NLCIL) has issued request for proposals to seek a consultant for setting up a 600 MW solar power project. The project will be located in the solar park of Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited, Phase II, at Khavda, Gujarat.
The scope of work under the project includes consultancy services for the development of project including engineering, evaluation, design endorsement, and engineering materials. It also involves providing technical assistance for the implementation and commissioning of projects. According to the tender guidelines, the bidder is required to submit Rs 167,500 as an earnest money deposit. Within 30 days of receiving letter of award, the developer is also required to furnish 10 per cent of contract value as a performance bank guarantee. Furthermore, NLCIL will be responsible for the development of the solar project. The bid submission deadline is August 28, 2023.
Recently, in August 2023, NLCIL announced to supply 300 MW of solar power to Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam Limited (RUVNL). The company has already signed long-term power usage agreement with RUVNL.
In May 2023, NLC India Limited announced its notification for the consultation services of WAPCOS Limited, a public-sector firm under the Ministry of Jal Shakti and aims to develop pumped hydro storage. A MoU was signed by the two parties to collaborate on pumped storage and hydropower projects.
