APDCL floats bids to seek consultants for wind project

Assam Power Distribution Company Limited (APDCL) has issued a request for proposals (RfP) to appoint consultants for preparing detailed project report (DPR) for setting up megawatt-scale wind project. The project will be located at Khandong Dyke and its neighborhood within 60-kilometer radius in Dima Hasao district, Gujarat.

The scope of work under the project includes soil investigation, topography study, geotechnical survey, hydrological study, and contour survey. The bidders are also required to submit Rs 100,000 as an earnest money deposit. Additionally, the developer is required to submit 10 per cent of contract value as a performance bank guarantee. The consultant will be responsible for identifying the appropriate capacity for the wind project. The project’s estimated cost is Rs 3.39 million. The bis submission deadline is September 5, 2023.

Based on the scope of work, the contract value is divided in two parts. Part A includes assessing wind resource data, on-site evaluation of the area, and presentation of feasibility report. While, part B encompasses implementation of geotechnical survey, detailed DPR, final DPR as well as draft tender documents.

In February 2023, APDCL issued a RfP for the purchase of 200 MW of power from solar projects to be developed in Assam, at a ceiling tariff of Rs 4 per kWh.
