Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL) has issued a request for proposals (RfP) for the installation and commissioning of 26 grid-connected solar power projects. The projects have a total capacity of 66 MW under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme for feeder level solarisation. The projects will be located in Ranawas, Sojat Road, Kharchi, and Sojat city subdivisions of Pali circle in Jodhpur. The renewable energy service company model will be used to develop the projects.

The scope of work under the project includes supply, erection and maintenance of the relevant 33 or 11 kV line linking the solar power projects to the substation, including bay, breakers and metering system. According to the tender guidelines, the bidder is required to submit an earnest money deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW. The developer must also look after the operations and maintenance of the projects for a period of 25 years. The developer will also be required to submit a performance bank guarantee of Rs 500,000 per MW of allocated capacity. The estimated cost of the project is Rs 35 million per MW. The bid submission deadline is October 4, 2023.

Within seven days of the filing of the performance bank guarantee, a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a duration of 25 years at the levelised rate established by the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission will be executed between the winning bidder and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam. The projects must be completed within nine months of the PPA being signed.
