SGEL floats bids for 200 MW solar project

SJVN Green Energy Limited (SGEL), a subsidiary of SJVN Limited has floated bids for 200 MW grid-connected solar power project. The winning bidder will be responsible for three years operations and maintenance (O&M) and delivery of balance of system (BOS) package. The project will be located at Khavda Solar Park, Gujarat.

According to the tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing and commissioning. Additionally, SGEL will be responsible for delivery of solar modules to the BOS contractor. The bidders are required to submit Rs 78 million as an earnest money deposit. The engineering, procurement, and construction contractor will be required to finish the work in 375 days of receiving letter of award. The last date for bid submission is September 5, 2023.

Recently, in July 2023, SJVN Limited was allocated five hydro-electric projects in Arunachal Pradesh. The five projects are as follows: Attunli – 980 MW, Amulin – 420 MW, Etalin – 3,097 MW, and Mihumdom – 400 MW which are located on Dibang River tributaries with a combined generation capacity of 5,097 MW.

In the same month, a contract worth Rs 70 billion was awarded to state-owned SJVN Limited by Punjab State Power Corporation Limited for the establishment of 1,200 MW of solar projects.
