GEPIL wins order worth Rs 4.4 billion from GSECL

GE Power India Limited (GEPIL) has bagged an order worth Rs 4.4 billion from Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited (GSECL). The scope of work under the project includes designing, engineering, manufacturing, supplying, packing, forwarding, installing, commissioning, and performance guarantee testing of flue gas desulfurisation system. The contract is valued at Rs 4.4 billion plus GST of 18 per cent. The project is expected to commission by January 2026, that is, within 30 months of the signing of the letter of award.

In May 2023, GSECL was looking for a consultant to help them establish a 1.5 GW floating solar facility in Gujarat’s Tapi area. The scope of work for the prospective consultant involves conducting a feasibility study and generating a detailed project report.

In September 2022, GSECL issued a request for proposal for a 1.5 MW rooftop solar system in Vadodara, Gujarat. The scope of work under the project included design, engineering, supply and procurement, erection, testing, commissioning, and comprehensive operations and maintenance. The winning bidder will be responsible for undertaking O&M of rooftop solar systems for a period of five years.
