A 300 MW solar project to be set up in Australia

The Northern Territory (NT) government has inked a two-year MoU with Larrakia Energy (a joint venture initiative between Larrakia Development Corporation and Perth-based resource and renewables company Progressive Green Solutions), and Korea Midland Power (Komipo) to set up a large-scale 300 MW solar power project on Darwin harbour near the Middle Arm precinct in Australia.

The scope of work under the project includes scoping, construction, and operations. It is anticipated that the developers will build a direct transmission line to the Middle Arm precinct.

In March 2023, ACEN Australia began construction on stage I of the 720 MW New England solar project in New South Wales, Australia. Australia’s Federal Minister for climate change, officially opened the project. The NSW state government approved the project’s first of two stages, which had a 400 MW capacity in 2020.
