International Conference on Biomass Densification: Leading Towards Sustainable Energy Solutions supported by the MNRE: August 9, 2023 at New Delhi

In today’s world the environment is the most important concern for every country and individual. Discussions on global platform have developed seriousness towards the subject and many industry giants are working on the environment and climate change. The net zero target announced by the Government of India has developed the zeal amongst the industry to work aggressively and identify innovative solutions in terms of combating emissions.

Fossil Fuels including Coal are the main contributors affecting the environment, industries like thermal power plants, steel, cement, refineries are working towards to substitute coal. Biomass Pellets and Briquettes are picking up the pace for the co-firing with coal. Biomass a renewable organic material derived from the plant and animal waste, has shown incredible potential in reducing greenhouse gas emissions and promoting environmental sustainability. However, its widespread use has been hindered by challenges related to transportation, storage, and handling due to its low energy density and bulky nature.

Considering the importance of the subject IFGE – Biomass Global Associates Forum is organizing International Conference on Biomass Densification: Leading Towards Sustainable Energy Solutions supported by the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy, Government of India on August 9, 2023 at New Maharashtra Sadan, KG Marg, New Delhi.

Shri Bhagawanth Khuba, Hon’ble Minister of State for New and Renewable Energy & Chemicals and Fertilizers, Government of India will be inaugurating the conference.

Indian Federation of Green Energy (IFGE) is an umbrella organization which represents the interests of the national renewable energy sector in its totality including bio-energy, solar, wind, mini hydel, tidal, geo-thermal etc. IFGE focuses on the area of Green Energy with the mission of promoting energy security in a sustainable manner in every sector of economic development through outreach activities like organizing workshops, conferences & policy advocacy initiatives.

IFGE : Biomass Global Associates Forum (BGAF) was launched on April 18, 2023 with objective to apprise the industry about initiatives taken by Government for the development of Biomass Sector. Policy advocacy would be a key-area wherein BGAF will playing an important role.

The key topics like Policy Ecosystem, Supply Chain Management, Technologies Upgradation, Research & Development, Investment & Financing, Incentives, Business opportunities for farmers and investors would be addressed in the Conference.
