National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC Limited) has issued a request for proposals for establishing 1.5 GW of solar power projects that can be built anywhere in India. These projects should be connected to inter-state transmission system.
According to tender guidelines, the scope of work under the project includes design, engineering, supply (except PV modules), construction, erection, testing, and commissioning of the solar project. Additionally, the successful bidder will also be responsible for operations and maintenance of the solar power plant for a period of five years. The bid submission deadline is August 29, 2023.
According to a notification released by the Ministry of Power, the group installed electricity generation capacity of NTPC Limited reached 73,024 MW. This includes 57,038 MW installed capacity of power plants owned by NTPC and 15,986 MW capacity of plants owned by NTPC’s subsidiaries and joint ventures.
Earlier this month, NTPC Renewable Energy Limited issued a request for proposals for the engineering, procurement, and construction for two 200 MW solar power projects in Gujarat’s Khavda Renewable Energy Park. According to the tender guidelines, design, engineering, production, supply, packing and forwarding, transportation, uploading storage, installation, testing, and commissioning of the solar project, including the provision of solar modules, are all part of the scope of business.
