Nashik Municipal Corporation (NMC) has issued a request for proposals (RFP) to set up 20 electric vehicle (EV) charging stations across various locations in the city. According to the tender guidelines, the scope of the work under the project includes location survey, planning, designing, engineering, supply, testing, inspection, packing, transportation, delivery to the project site, unloading, handling and storage, erection, and commissioning of the charging equipment. It also includes any other work required for effective commissioning of the project. The successful bidder will be responsible for operations and maintenance of the charging stations for a period of three years. The bidders are also required to submit Rs 500,000 as an earnest money deposit.
As a part of project, 100 two or three-wheeler chargers with capacity of (3.3 kW) AC and 20 four-wheeler Dual Gun CCS2 with capacity of (60 kW) DC will be installed. The estimated cost of project is Rs 100 million. The bidders are expected to commission the charging stations within 4 months from the date of letter of award. The bid submission deadline is August 14, 2023.
In February 2023, ABB India launched its new factory in Nashik that aimed to double its capacity for gas-insulated switchgear (GIS). This plant will be responsible for producing primary and secondary GIS. It will provide services to customers in a variety of industries, including power distribution, smart cities, data centres, transportation (metro, railways), tunnels, ports, highways, and other infrastructure developments.
