NHPC Limited has invited bids for the engineering, procurement and construction (EPC) of a 200 MW solar PV project at Khavda Solar Park in Gujarat. The project will be built at Gujarat State Electricity Corporation Limited’s (GSECL) 600 MW solar park (stage 1).
The scope of work includes design, engineering, supply, construction, erection, testing, and commissioning, including the construction of the power evacuation system. Additionally, the successful bidder will also be responsible for operations and maintenance of the solar PV plant for a period of five years. The developers are expected to commission the entire project within 15 months from the date of letter of award. The bid submission deadline is August 29, 2023.
Recently in June 2023, NHPC Limited has signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with GRIDCO Odisha for the development of pumped storage and renewable energy projects in Odisha. The MoU envisages setting up of self-identified pumped storage projects of at least 2,000 MW and renewable energy projects of at least 1,000 MW in the state.
