At the 14th Clean Energy Ministerial meeting, Juniper Green Energy Private Limited and Power Finance Corporation Limited signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) for Rs 50 billion to support 1,200 MW of renewable energy projects. The company is on course to reach more than 4,000 MW of capacity by 2027 with the diverse portfolio of solar, wind, and hybrid projects. The company has an existing portfolio of roughly 800 MW, 435 MW of capacity that is under construction with a current pipeline of more than 3,000 MW of wind, solar, and hybrid projects.
Also, during the 14th Clean Energy Ministerial meeting in Goa, Energy Efficiency Services Limited (EESL), hosted an event with the theme “Accelerating India’s Net Zero Transition through Energy Efficiency, Sustainable Cooling & Mobility”. At this event, 15 MoUs were exchanged, demonstrating EESL’s commitment to investigating solutions for decarbonisation, energy access, energy efficiency programmes and clean cooking.
In July 2023, PFC Limited issued a request for proposals (RFP) for the development of an interstate transmission system (ISTS) to transport 1,500 MW of electricity from renewable energy projects in Maharashtra’s Solapur special economic zone. According to the tender guidelines, the project will be built, owned, operated, and transferred before being transferred.
