The Jammu and Kashmir Energy Development Agency (JAKEDA) has issued a request for proposals to commission 1.75 MW of grid-connected rooftop solar systems on state government buildings. The chosen developer should also be in charge of the project’s operation and maintenance for the next five years. Bidders must submit Rs 2 million earnest money deposit.
Also, micro, small, and medium-sized companies (MSMEs) are excused from making earnest money deposits provided they manufacture at least one of the solar project’s major components, such as cells, modules, or solar inverters. Successful bidders must submit a security deposit of 5 per cent of the project cost. JAKEDA has mandated that the solar modules used for the project come from the Ministry of New and Renewable Energy’s Approved List of Models and Manufacturers.The deadline for proposal submissions is July 27, 2023.
In July 2022,(JAKEDA) called for bids to build and commission 200 MW of grid-connected residential rooftop solar systems under the Jammu Solar City Mission. The systems shall be of varying capacities as part of Phase II under MNRE Rooftop Solar Program.
