JDVVNL floats bids for 295 MW of solar projects under PM KUSUM

The Jodhpur Vidyut Vitran Nigam Limited (JDVVNL) has issued three tenders for the installation and commissioning of 108 grid-connected solar power projects. The projects have a total capacity of 295.32 MW under various subdivisions of the Hanumangarh Circle under Component C of the Pradhan Mantri Kisan Urja Suraksha evam Utthaan Mahabhiyan (PM-KUSUM) programme for feeder level solarisation.

The renewable energy service company model will be used to create the projects. The selected bidder must be responsible for the project’s operation and maintenance (O&M) for a period of 25 years. The anticipated project cost is Rs 35 million per megawatt.

According to the tender guidelines, the bidders must post a deposit of Rs 100,000 per MW of quoted capacity for all tenders. As a performance bank guarantee, the successful bidders must provide Rs 500,000 per MW of the allotted capacity. The project developer will also be responsible for the delivery and installation of the relevant 33/11 kV line linking the solar power projects to the concerned 33/11 kV substation, including bay, breakers and metering system.

Within seven days of the filing of the performance bank guarantee, a power purchase agreement (PPA) for a duration of 25 years at the levelised rate established by the Rajasthan Electricity Regulatory Commission will be executed between the winning bidder and Rajasthan Urja Vikas Nigam (RUVNL). The projects must be completed within nine months of the PPA being signed.

In June 2023, under Component C of the PM-KUSUM scheme, JDVVNL issued seven tenders for the installation and commissioning of 531.12 MW of grid-connected solar power projects in various subdivisions of the Jalore Circle. The winning bidder must operate and maintain the project for a period of 25 years from the date of commercial operation.
