Svaryu Energy bags EPC contract for 25 MW solar project by a Coal India Navikarniya Urja

Svaryu Energy, a solar engineering, procurement, and construction (EPC) firm, has been granted an EPC contract for a 25 MW grid-connected solar project at Bhojudih Coal Washery in Purulia, West Bengal, by Coal India Navikarniya Urja on behalf of Bharat Coking Coal. In addition, the company is also responsible to oversee the project’s maintenance and operation for the next five years.

Svaryu Energy won the auction for Rs 1.63 billion and was given the word order on April 7, 2023.

In June 2023, Coal India granted Shreeji Infrastructure with an EPC contract for 35 MW solar projects and associated transmission lines in West Bengal. Shreeji won the auction with a bid of Rs 2.08 billion.

Also, in February 2023, CIL Navikarniya Urja Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of Coal India Limited,invited bids to build a 20 MW grid-connected solar photovoltaic project for the captive consumption by Bharat Coking Coal Limited. The project’s scope of work includes installation, testing, and commissioning of the 20 MW (AC)/28 MWp (DC) solar plant.
