Cleantech Solar signs agreements with forges C&I customers in Tamil Nadu

Cleantech Solar announces signing of long-term power purchase agreements with leading commercial and industrial (C&I) customers in Tamil Nadu to develop 60 MWp of open access solar photovoltaic projects. These projects are being built at the developer’s solar park in Tirunelveli district. Power from these projects will be procured by the consumers on a captive basis and will power their manufacturing operations in the state. The projects are being developed for customers across diverse sectors such as automotive, chemicals and education.

The long-term partnerships between Cleantech Solar and the top-tier C&I customers are expected to generate approximately 2,112 GWh of clean energy during the system’s lifetime, amounting to a reduction of 1,932 kilotonnes of carbon dioxide emissions.

In June 2023, Cleantech Solar entered a long-term solar partnership with Coats in Indonesia to develop a 540 kWp rooftop solar PV project at their facility in Pasuruan, East Java. Cleantech Solar will provide the end-to-end solar solution along with guaranteeing the performance of the system.

Also, in April 2023, Cleantech Solar announced the signing of 25 MW of wind projects for global industrial manufacturers at its upcoming wind parks in Maharashtra and Tamil Nadu. The customers will procure power from these wind parks on a captive basis to meet energy requirements at their manufacturing facilities in the respective states. These projects mark Cleantech Solar’s entry into combined wind and solar solutions, offering clients hybrid power to meet their renewable energy goals.
